{I really enjoy traveling around the country to tour client facilities and meet with their staff during the discovery process. Planning and designing resilient buildings that increase the reliability of the country’s electrical grid adds gravity to the architecture we provide. It is refreshing to work with the blend of experienced professionals and recent graduates in the office each day. A coffee break often leads to a design discussion and new perspectives. Company social events are also a great way to share time with colleagues.

{What I enjoy most is working on specialized projects that require unique design solutions. I enjoy collaborating with the various Engineers, Architects and Construction team that we have in house to design and implement these solutions, and ultimately to deliver a building to the client that meets their specific needs.

{Each day at Lamb can be vastly different—we keep things fresh! It might be a new part of a project to work on, a new challenge to work through in the field, or even an exciting new project in a different state. I get to learn about all facets of engineering—from stormwater and utilities to grading and much more. I work closely with other departments: Construction, Structural, Electrical, etc., expanding my knowledge in Civil Engineering but also other fields. Every day is an adventure.

{Working at Lamb has always been a great experience for me. Everyone here is willing to help if I find myself stumped with a problem or have a question, and I enjoy entering such a positive work environment like this every day. As an aspiring Architect, this makes it easy to learn new things about my discipline and take strides towards my goal of Architectural licensure.

{I started at Lamb when I first came to this country from Venezuela 26 years ago. I spoke basic English, but I had the credentials, and Lamb gave me the opportunity to prove myself. Now, I'm an expert in Control Center Architecture and am the overall design coordinator. Here you'll find support and encouragement to be your professional best — every day.

{Coming from the traditional local land development consulting industry, I have expanded my knowledge at Lamb by working with all design disciplines, all under the same roof and on the same team. I also have the opportunity to work on exciting and diverse projects all over the country.

{Our environment encourages an open exchange of ideas, with teams collaborating, problem-solving, and working toward the ideal solution for the client. I work on some fascinating projects and some with unique structural design challenges, such as hardening to perform under extreme loading conditions. Mentorship is essential. I enjoy passing on my knowledge and experience to younger Engineers, Designers and interns. It is very rewarding to watch their professional growth as they develop and strengthen new skills that will propel them forward.
